Domain Names For Crypto Addresses Aren’t Ready Yet
Domain name services for crypto addresses make for easy transfers and allow you to create uncensorable websites. This is a huge step forward using blockchain technology and as much as I wanted it to be ready this September using the Ziliqa network, it’s not quite there yet. While https://unstoppabledomains.com/ does let you purchase for 10$ a .zil address where you can map your BTC, LTC, ETH, and ZIL addresses, but you can’t use it currently with major wallets.
Domain name services are a bigger deal than you might expect because this was a driving force for mass adoption and use of the internet back in the day where people could use readable words rather than IP addresses to access websites.
Right now, you can use Unstoppable domains with Moonlet or Counter, so I apologize for only mentioning Moonlet in the video. They plan to work with as many wallets as possible in the future and even have a grant program in which awards grants to wallets that integrate their software. Coinomi was a recent grant winner. You can also vote for which wallet you want to see us in the next wave of the grant program here: https://unstoppabledomains.com/poll. I voted for Ledger live and Metamask myself. When it works with everything, I believe we will see a huge wave of adoption.
